Embodiment Construction

[0040] The specific embodiments of the present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0041] Specific implementation example 1: a TE that works at 28.1 GHz over-molded circular waveguide 21 -TM 01 The mode converter consists of three parts: 90° fan-shaped metal ring array composed of 21 sets of 90° fan-shaped metal rings, a cross-shaped metal plate and an overmolded circular waveguide. The radius R of the overmolded circular waveguide is 8.5 mm, and the two 90° fan-shaped metal rings are angularly spaced at 180° and symmetrical to the center of the overmolded circular waveguide axis, and form a group of 90° fan-shaped metal ring units. The units are periodically arranged in the overmolded circular waveguide according to a certain interval period P=2.2mm along the axial direction of the overmolded circular waveguide. The outer radius R of each 90° fan-shaped metal ring is 8.5 mm, and the inner radius r is 6.3mm. The thicknes...

Abstract

The invention relates to a over-mode waveguide mode converter in the high-power microwave technology field and especially relates to a TE21-TM01 mode converter based on a over-mode circular waveguide, wherein the converter works at a high power level. The converter is formed by a 90 degree sector metal ring array, a cross metal plate and a over-mode circular waveguide. Each unit which forms the 90degree sector metal ring array comprises two 90 degree sector metal rings. The two 90 degree sector metal rings are tightly contacted with an inner wall of the over-mode circular waveguide, an angular interval is 180 degree, and the metal rings are centrally symmetrical about an over-mode circular waveguide axis. The two 90 degree sector metal rings of each unit are periodically arranged in the over-mode circular waveguide according to an interval period P along an over-mode circular waveguide axis direction. In the invention, two symmetrical sector waveguides are used to fill the periodicalsector metal rings so as to form a slow wave structure; in a short axial direction length, phase adjusting is realized so that a total length of the mode converter is reduced; and the converter can beapplied to an over-mode waveguide TE21-TM01 mode conversion system.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an overmode waveguide mode converter in the field of high power microwave technology, in particular to a TE based on overmode circular waveguide working at a high power level 21 -TM 01 mode converter. Background technique [0002] In recent years, the attractive prospect of high-power microwave (high-power microwave refers to electromagnetic waves with a peak power greater than 100 MW or an average power greater than 100 kW and a frequency between 1 and 100 GHz) in many fields has attracted widespread attention and a lot of research in many countries. investment, and has made great technological progress. At present, high-power microwaves have been used in civil and military fields such as energy, medical treatment, and environmental protection. The application requirements of high-power microwaves determine that the output high-power microwave energy must be concentrated to a certain position. However, the microwave energy ...
