Abstract

The invention discloses a wheel rim propeller model testing method and a device thereof. The method comprises the steps of (1), mounting the wheel rim propeller model on a testing device, applying electric power to the wheel rim propeller model, and driving the testing device drive the propeller model to move in a towing pool; (2), acquiring a thrust force T of the wheel rim propeller model in theaxial direction, a bear resistance R of the wheel rim propeller model without electric power application, and a torque Q which is generated by the wheel rim propeller rim; and (3) calculating a propeller thrust force coefficient KT, a torque coefficient KQ and propeller efficiency eta which represent performance of the wheel rim propeller. The device comprises a mounting platform, a six-freedom platform, a six-component balance and the propeller model. According to the wheel rim propeller model testing method and the device thereof, different working conditions of the wheel rim propeller model in underwater operation can be accurately simulated; various water-power parameters of the propeller model in different testing states are measured by means of the six-component balance; and furthermore working efficiency of the wheel rim propeller model is calculated.
