Abstract

The invention provides an electron injector for an FEL or SRLS. The electron injector comprises a vacuum cavity, an electron generator and an electron accelerator installed in the vacuum cavity, and the vacuum cavity is provided with an electron beam exit port. The electron generator comprises a laser and a photocathode disk installed in the vacuum cavity, and the photocathode disk is provided with sub photocathodes. The photocathode disk is installed in the vacuum cavity via a support device, and laser beams emitted by the laser can be focused on the different sub photocathodes. The electroninjector for the FEL or SRLS is simple in structure, convenient to operate, long in service life and capable of replacing the photocathodes online, and the defects that a present injector for the FELor SRLS is complex in structure and the service life of photocathodes is short are overcome.
