Abstract

The invention provides a control device capable of preventing a driver from discomfort by removing deposition of material at a purification device. The vehicle control system is provided with an engine and a purification device capable of purifying air exhaust of the engine. Therefore, when a person does not drive, a vehicle can automatically control driving operation so that an automatons drivingfunction is fulfilled. Additionally, the vehicle can perform removal control of depositions which make a purification function of the purification device lower. The control device of the vehicle is equipped with a controller of the vehicle. The controller obtains the amount of depositions (step S1) and judges whether a passenger is in the vehicle or not (step 2). When the amount of f depositionsexceeds the pre-set threshold value, removal control is performed (step S4, step S6). A value of the threshold during automatic driverless driving without any person is set to be lower than a value ofthe threshold during automatic driving with a passenger (step S5).
