Abstract

The invention discloses a method for evaluating the fairness of a public transit trip. Through proposing a concept of equivalent walking time and combination with some basic data on public transit, the time spent on different modes of trip is subjected to homogenization treatment. The method disclosed by the invention has the benefits that the fairness of the public transit trip adopted by residents is quantitatively evaluated by using five indicators, namely equivalent walking time, road network density, percentage of connecting time at both ends, bus on-time ratio and bus frequency, and datais easier to obtain and higher feasibility is achieved. After calculation, secondary indicators are graded in combination with practical situations and are subjected to homogenization treatment, andthe weights of all the indicators are determined by using a Delphi method, so that the fairness of the public transit trip in a region is conveniently and directly calculated, and a better service isprovided for the urban public transit, and therefore, the social benefits are improved.
