The automated control method comprises the steps that data of the getting on and off passenger flow of the driverless bus at all stations, and the actual arriving moment and the departing moment of the driverless bus are collected in real time, and the data serve as input; a bus time table optimization model is established according to the necessary parking time and position information of the driverless bus at the stations; and the actual travelling state of the driverless bus serves asinput of the bus time table optimization model to judge, if the departing moment of the driverless bus is earlier than the planned departing moment, the driverless bus is controlled to stay at the stations and depart until the specified moment, and if the departing moment of the driverless bus is later than the planned departing moment, the operation speed between the stations is increased to reduce or eliminate delays. The reliability of on-time travelling of the driverless bus is enhanced, the quality of public transport service is advantageously improved, and great significance for promoting construction and development of a smart city in the future is achieved.
