Abstract

The invention provides a Beidou data expansion method based on an improved LZW coding compression technology. The method comprises the following steps: completing coding of original data according toa transmission way in a communication application; initializing a dictionary, an input data stream prefix string and the repetition times of a repetition encoder; judging reading and coding ends of coded data stream characters; performing coding with the repetition encoder and outputting a result; and coding with an LZW encoder if repetition characters do not exist. Through adoption of the method,the coding length is reduced effectively; the compression efficiency is increased; and data expansion of Beidou short message communication is realized through a software algorithm on the basis of not increasing hardware resources of a Beidou communication user terminal.
