Abstract

The invention provides a depth imaging mobile terminal and a mobile terminal-based human face identification application method. The depth imaging mobile terminal comprises a system-on-chip; the system-on-chip comprises a depth calculation engine used for executing depth calculation, a controller used for connecting and controlling a peripheral device, and a CPU connected with the depth calculation engine and the controller through a bus to realize overall management, wherein the peripheral device comprises a transmitting module and a receiving module; the transmitting module is used for transmitting structured light beam; the receiving module is used for receiving the structured light beam and generating a structured light image; and the depth calculation refers to calculation of a depthimage by utilizing the structured light image. In the depth imaging mobile terminal, the low-power and small-volume system-on-chip is adopted, and the low-power and small-volume depth calculation engine is integrated in the system-on-chip, so that the volume and cost of the whole chip can be reduced, the volume and cost of a whole machine are further reduced, and high efficiency of data calculation and transmission is ensured.
