Problems solved by technology

[0005] In the prior art, the panoramic image generated by dynamic programming combined with the linear weighted fusion method is prone to unnatural splicing images at the top of the panoramic image, and the generated panoramic image does not achieve a smooth transition at the top, while occupying a large amount of system resources , the processing speed is very slow. In order to solve this problem, the present invention provides a method for stitching panoramic images, and the specific scheme is as follows:

Embodiment Construction

[0064] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be further described in detail below in combination with specific embodiments and with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that these descriptions are exemplary only, and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Also, in the following description, descriptions of well-known structures and techniques are omitted to avoid unnecessarily obscuring the concept of the present invention.

[0065] Two crucial steps in panoramic image stitching technology are image registration and image fusion. Currently commonly used image fusion methods use direct fusion methods (for example: average value method, weighted average method, median filter method), which will cause obvious splicing gaps in the generated panoramic image due to the difference in details in the overlapping areas. In order to solve the technical ...

Abstract

A panoramic image stitching method is provided. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring an original image taken by each camera of a panoramic camera, and performing image distortion correction oneach original image; performing scaling processing on the image after being subjected to the distortion correction to obtain a to-be-fused image; calculating an optimal stitching center line of the to-be-fused image of each camera of the panoramic camera, in a fusion zone, wherein the fusion zone comprises a first fusion zone and a second fusion zone, the first fusion zone is composed of regionswhich are located at the tops of different to-be-fused images and overlap each other, and the second fusion zone is composed of the regions overlapping on the edges of two adjacent to-be-fused images;calculating a weight table of the first fusion zone and the second fusion zone based on the optimal stitching center line; according to the weight table of the first fusion zone and the second fusionzone, fusing all the to-be-fused images; and performing image stretching on the fused image. According to the panoramic image stitching method provided by the present invention, gentle transition isrealized, and the image stitching looks more natural.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of image processing, and in particular relates to a panoramic image splicing method. Background technique [0002] Panoramic image stitching technology is the technology of stitching several partially overlapping images into a large seamless high-resolution image. Panoramic image stitching is one of the key technologies in image processing, and it is the basis for other image processing, such as panoramic video, intelligent video surveillance, video compression and transmission, virtual reality technology, medical image analysis, and super-resolution reconstruction. It is very important for the whole system to achieve high-speed and high-quality image stitching. [0003] Two crucial steps in panoramic image stitching technology are image registration and image fusion. Currently commonly used image fusion methods use direct fusion methods (for example: average value method, weighted average method, median f...
