The method comprises the steps of introducing a secret image feature coefficient to Logistic chaotic mapping and Rabinovich hyperchaotic mapping and making generated sequences associated with the secret image; rearranging the RGB order of the image byusing the generated Logistic chaotic sequences to eliminate color information of the color image; encrypting the image pixel positions by using a group of sequences in four groups of chaotic sequencesgenerated by Rabinovich hyperchaotic mapping, and using a block scrambling method to encrypt the image quickly; scrambling and diffusing a low frequency coefficient obtained after discrete wavelet transform (DWT) of the image by using the remaining three groups of Rabinovich hyperchaotic sequences in different channels; embedding the encrypted image into a DWT high frequency coefficient of a public image by using the least significant bit replacement algorithm (LSB).
