Abstract

The present invention discloses an insecticidal composition with azadirachtin and salix myrtillacea total saponins as active ingredients and a usage thereof, and belongs to the field of pest control in process of crop planting. The composition comprises the active ingredients of the azadirachtin and salix myrtillacea total saponins; the weight ratio of the azadirachtin to the salix myrtillacea total saponins is 1:(0.1-10); and most preferably, the weight ratio of the azadirachtin to the salix myrtillacea total saponins is 1:6.38. The composition is used for the pest control in agricultural production, and preferably used for controlling lepidopteran pests, particular for controlling plutella xylostella L. The salix myrtillacea total saponins and azadirachtin have extremely strong enhancingfunctions on drug effects each other, can greatly improve the control effects on agricultural pests, and have the effect far superior to that of the single use of the salix myrtillacea total saponinsor azadirachtin, can significantly reduce cost of pesticides and broadens the scope of the use.
