[0030] figure 1 Data frames 111-118, 121-128 enqueued into transmit queues 110, 120 of a first WLAN station 231 and a second WLAN station 232 of a wireless communication system are schematically shown. The wireless communication system includes a first part on the transmitting side (in figure 2 shown in ) and the second part on the receiving side (in the image 3 shown in ). Both transmit queues 110 , 120 are based on the same input sequence 100 of data frames 101 - 108 received from the first HSR / PRP redundancy box 202 . The first HSR / PRP redundancy box 202 is assigned to the wireless communication system in figure 2 The first part shown in and indirectly connected to the first WLAN station 231 and the second WLAN station 232 via the first VLAN-capable switch 203 . In addition, the first HSR / PRP redundancy box 202 includes at least 3 communication network interfaces. The first HSR / PRP redundancy box 202 is connected to the first switch 203 with VLAN function via the fi...

Abstract

In a radio communication system for an industrial automation system, at least one first communication device and one second communication device are redundantly connected to an industrial communication network. The first and second communication devices are each connected directly or indirectly to a particular first radio transceiver station and to a particular second radio transceiver station viathe first communication network connection and via the second communication network connection thereof. The first and second radio transceiver stations determine an order for data frames to be transmitted inside a predefined interval of time on the basis of destination MAC addresses assigned to the data frames to be transmitted. The order within data frames to be transmitted to a selected destination MAC address is determined by the order in which said data frames are received.

Description

Background technique [0001] Industrial automation systems are used to monitor, control and regulate industrial processes, especially in the context of manufacturing, process and building automation, and enable the operation of control devices, sensors, machines and industrialized equipment, which should be as automatic as possible and independent of human intervention Interventionally achieved. Due to the increasing importance of information technology for automation systems comprising a large number of networked control or computing units, methods for reliably providing monitoring, control and regulation functions distributed via automation systems are becoming more and more important. [0002] An interruption of the communication link between computing units of an industrial automation system or between automation devices can lead to an undesired or unnecessary repetition of the delivery of a service request. This causes an additional load on the communication links of the ...
