Abstract

The invention relates to an interleaver mapping and dynamic memory management system and method, and includes an interleaver mapping method and a dynamic memory management method. The interleaver mapping method includes the steps of configuring memory address mapping for two or more memory devices accessed via two or more corresponding memory channels, wherein the mapping has an interleaved regionand a linear region, the interleaved region comprises an interleaved address space for high performance usage and the linear region comprises a linear address space for a low power use condition; receiving a memory request from one or more clients, wherein the memory request includes a preference for power conservation or performance; and allocating the memory request to the linear region or theinterleaved region according to the power conservation or performance preference.
