Abstract

The embodiment of the present application provides a high-voltage cable insulation material and a preparation method thereof, the high-voltage cable insulation material comprises a blend prepared fromthe following parts by weight: 90 parts of isotactic polypropylene and 10 parts of a propylene-ethylene copolymer. The preparation method of the high-voltage cable insulation material comprises: mixing the granular isotactic polypropylene and the propylene-ethylene copolymer according to a ratio of 9:1, and then melting at 180 DEG C for 2 minutes; applying 1 ton of pressure for pressing for 1 minute; at 180 DEG C applying 5 tons of pressure for pressing for 3 minutes to obtain an initial film sample; and extracting the initial film sample. The high-voltage cable insulation material can satisfy an existing cross-linked polyethylene product, and improves the low toughness and low electrical performance of a polypropylene material. In addition, the high-voltage cable insulation material finished product has recyclability and no harm to the environment.
