Abstract

The invention discloses a method for measuring the lateral residual stress of a curved steel plate. A curved steel plate part with the length of 700mm and the width of 70mm is cut from one end of a to-be-measured curved steel plate and is used as a detection element; with the central point of the detection element as a symmetric point, strain gauges are pasted at positions respectively at distances of 100mm, 200 mm, and 300mm to two sides of the central point in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the detection element, wherein the length directions of the strain gauges are identical withthe length direction of the detection element; an initial value is measured and an instrument is reset; on the basis of a molybdenum thread cutting method, the detection element is cut off longitudinally at the central part of the detection element, a final residual stress value is measured, and then an average value is calculated and thus a lateral residual stress value of the curved steel plateis obtained. The method is simple; the strain gauge positions and the cutting position are selected reasonably; and the residual stress of the detection element can be measured quickly and accurately.
