Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a data packet processing method and device. The method comprises the steps: integrating a plurality of network elements into one SNMP platform through a platform integration mechanism; performing the binding and packaging of the data packet through the integrated SNMP platform, thereby effectively reducing the occupied NEA memory. Moreover, in the process of processing the data packet, the SNMP platform employs a slice-type rotating processing mechanism of the variable granularity and variable traffic flow. In other words, the SNMP platform performs thedividing of the variable granularity of the data packet in each network element queue, wherein only a specified number of data packets in each queue are processed, thereby improving the processing efficiency of the whole NEA, and enabling the processing opportunity of all network element queues to be equal.
