Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of aqueous adhesives, and more particularly relates to an aqueous adhesive for compounding aluminium foils with extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards and a preparation method thereof. The formulation of the aqueous adhesive comprises 77-110 parts of deionized water, 0.4-1.5 parts of a phosphate emulsifier, 50-60 parts of an acrylics monomer mixture, 5-12 parts of reactive phosphate functional monomer, 0.2-0.8 parts of an initiator, 0.05-0.15 parts of a thickener, 0.05-0.2 parts of a defoamer and 0.02-0.05 parts of a wetting agent, which are polymerizedby a special process for preparing the aqueous adhesive. The aqueous adhesive prepared by the invention has strong adhesion on the aluminium foils and greatly improves the bonding strength with base materials. After applied to the compounding adhesion between the aluminium foils and the XPS boards and further dried and cured for 24 hours, the aqueous adhesive enables the XPS board to be soaked inboiled water for 1 hour without no damage to the bonding layer.
