Abstract

The invention discloses an elevator fault diagnosis method. The elevator fault diagnosis method comprises the following steps that step 1, a motor control system drives an elevator to run in any direction; step 2, when the elevator runs at a constant speed, the elevator control system detects square wave signals output by an encoder, and calculates all pulse intervals of the square wave signals toobtain a pulse interval sequence; and step 3, the average value of the pulse interval sequence, the percentage of the pulse intervals larger than an upper limit threshold value of the pulse intervalsand the percentage of the pulse intervals smaller than a lower limit threshold value of the pulse intervals are calculated, if the sum of the two percentages is greater than the set threshold value,it is determined that a problem exists in the output signals of the encoder of the elevator, and the elevator control system issues a fault signal.
