Abstract

The invention discloses a novel application of seabuckthorn seed oil, namely the application of the seabuckthorn seed oil in preparing drugs for the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and the application of the seabuckthorn seed oil in preparing health food for the treatment of the PCOS. The experimental results show that the seabuckthorn seed oil has treatment effect on the PCOS; the seabuckthorn seed oil can not oly improve polycystoid lesions of PCOS mice, but also normalize the disordered estrous cycle and increase ovarian reserves, and can effectively reduce the hyperglycemia symptoms and reduce obesity in the PCOS mice; a scientific basis is provided for the direct use of the seabuckthorn seed oil in the treatment of PCOS.
