The invention discloses an electric arc detection method applied to more electric aircraft direct current system. an electric arc fault of the more electric aircraft direct current system is detectedby using a non-contact type anti-electromagnetic interference arc sensing mode. The electric arc detection method applied to the more electric aircraft direct current system comprises a typical electric arc generation unit, an arc light collection unit, an electric arc light signal processing unit and an electric arc fault judgment and output unit. The electric arc light collection unit is composed of an optical component, a backlight type CCD detector and an image collection and transformation module, used for measuring and collecting light wavelength distribution of electric arcs. An electric arc light feature extraction unit comprises an electric arc light signal pretreatment part, an electric arc light signal denoising part and an electric arc light signal analysis and feature parameter extraction part. According to the extracted effective electric arc light features, a photoelectric detector is selected, the condition that whether the electric arc fault occurs in the target more electric aircraft direct current system is judged, and a result is output. The method provided by the invention is not affected by electromagnetic interference, has the relatively high fault detectionaccuracy, and provides the support for ensuring the normal operation of the more electric aircraft.
