[0028] In one embodiment, the invention is embodied as a solid form sorbent having a plurality of fine sorbent particles embedded in or bound to a binder. In one embodiment, although the sorbent particles are bound to the binder, the sorbent particles are not completely enclosed or covered by the binder to ensure that the particles can be used to adsorb moisture and the like. Such adsorbents may have particular utility for use in automotive air conditioning systems, as described in detail below.
