Abstract

Provide mobile advanced master clock, method of establishing advanced master clock and autonomous vehicle. An advanced master clock is proposed. The advanced master clock has: GNSS interface, receiving GNSS time synchronization data; real time clock (RTC), with crystal oscillator; one or more communication interfaces, exchanging data with clock correction source; and clock correction host. Clock correction host calculates clock drift based on GNSS time synchronization data and data from clock correction source, generates adjusted clock data, and writes the adjusted clock data to RTC from different locations. The advanced master clock is available in the vehicle.
