[0053] 1 Materials and methods

[0054] 1.1 Experimental animals

[0055] Twenty-four male SD rats (weight: 220 ± 20 g) aged about 8 weeks were purchased from the Experimental Animal Center of Shandong University. The experimental protocol has been approved by the Animal Experiment Ethics Committee of Shandong University School of Medicine (No. Authorization, the experiment strictly complied with the "Guidelines for Animal Care and Treatment" (eighth edition, 2011).

Abstract

The invention provides an application of melatonin and mecobalamin in treatment of diabetic wound healing disorders, and belongs to the technical field of biological medicine. Research of the invention shows that the combined use of the melatonin and the mecobalamin can significantly promote healing of wound surfaces of diabetic rats, and the effect of the combined medication is better than that of the melatonin when used alone; the combined medication significantly promotes the healing of diabetic skin wounds by reducing inflammatory response at the wound part and increasing the number of epidermal stem cells; and a current status of diabetic wound treatment (difficult to heal and high costs of treatment) and the advantages of price and application safety of small molecule drugs such as the melatonin and the mecobalamin are combined, the research of the mixed preparation of the melatonin and the mecobalamin has important clinical practical value, and the research results of the invention provide a theoretical basis and novel treatment ideas for clinical application.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of biomedicine, and in particular relates to the application of melatonin combined with mecobal in treating diabetic wound healing disorder. Background technique [0002] The information disclosed in this background section is only intended to increase the understanding of the general background of the present invention, and is not necessarily taken as an acknowledgment or any form of suggestion that the information constitutes the prior art already known to those skilled in the art. [0003] Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease that seriously endangers human health and quality of life. Research shows that the number of people with diabetes in the world was 415 million in 2015 and may reach 642 million by 2040. Complications caused by diabetes are the main cause of disability and death of diabetic patients. Delayed or non-healing ulcer wound healing is the primary factor for patients to be hospitalized o...
