The method comprises the following steps of selecting a conventional rice variety and a high-yield lodging-resistant rice variety for breeding, specifically, firstly sowing two varieties of rice, and then transplanting; hybridizing by taking the high-yield lodging-resistant variety as a female parent andtaking the conventional rice variety as a male parent to obtain F1-generation seeds; sowing F1-generation seeds, measuring lodging-resistant related characters 20 days after full heading, and then harvesting F2-generation seeds; and completely sowing the F2-generation seeds to obtain an F2 group, adopting a single-seed propagation method for an F2-F5 generation, taking only one seed for each plant, enabling the characters of the group to be basically stable after the F6 generation, and selecting excellent single plants meeting a breeding target to reserve the seeds to obtain the rice lodging-resistant new variety.
