Abstract

The invention provides a two-dimensional incoherent distributed target parameter estimation method based on an L-shaped array. The objective of the invention is to solve the problem of precision reduction of a conventional incoherent distributed target source estimation algorithm in a low signal-to-noise ratio environment. Firstly, a received signal model is rewritten into a generalized array manifold (GAM) model, and sample cross covariance matrixes of received data in different axial directions are calculated; and signal subspaces corresponding to the steering vectors in different axial directions are calcualted. The L-shaped array is divided into four sub-arrays, and the central angle of the incoherent distributed target source is estimated; and then pairing of the center angles is completed. And finally the spread angle of the target is estimated. According to the method, the arrays do not need to be divided in the same axial direction when the cross covariance is constructed, andthe loss of the array aperture is avoided while the noise influence is eliminated. In addition, one singular value decomposition is used for replacing two eigenvalue decomposition to obtain signal subspaces in two directions at the same time, so that the incoherent distributed target source estimation algorithm has lower calculation complexity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of array signal processing, in particular to a method for estimating the angle of arrival of a two-dimensional non-coherent distributed target source under an L-shaped array. Background technique [0002] Angle of Arrival estimation is a basic technology in the field of array signal processing. It can be widely used in systems such as radar, sonar and wireless communication. Most parameter estimation algorithms such as: MUSIC algorithm, ESPRIT algorithm, etc. regard the observed target as the far-field point target source. However, in practical applications, the multipath scattering effect of the target is unavoidable. Therefore, using the distributed target source model to describe will be closer to the real situation. [0003] According to the correlation of signals, distributed target sources can be divided into two types: coherent distributed target sources and non-coherent distributed target sources....
