Abstract

The invention provides a bipolar cell stack. Each cell unit of the bipolar cell stack is provided with an insulation sealing frame and an isolation supporting frame, and the isolation supporting frameis located on the inner side of the insulation sealing frame. The isolation supporting frame can be hermetically connected between the positive electrode material layer and the negative electrode material layer in each battery unit, or hermetically connected to the bipolar current collector or the end surface current collector in each battery unit, so that an isolation cavity is supported betweenthe positive electrode material layer and the negative electrode material layer in each battery unit. Through the isolation cavity located between the positive electrode material layer and the negative electrode material layer, contact short circuit of the positive electrode material layer and the negative electrode material layer and falling failure of the electrode material layer due to external pressure of the cell stack can be avoided, and the electrolyte stored in the isolation cavity can also ensure that the cell is kept in a rich liquid state. In addition, additional sealing guaranteeis provided through sealing connection between the frame edge of the isolation supporting frame and the electrode material layer / current collector.
