Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a CT image data set via a detection unit with a photon-counting X-ray detector and an X-ray source unit. The detection unit is configured to convert detected X-rays into measurement signals resolved at least into a first and a second energy range and, and the X-ray source unit is configured to emit X-rays having a first energy spectrum and having a different second energy spectrum. The method includes adapting the first and the second energy ranges, at least one limiting energy of each energy range being adapted; emitting X-rays of the first andsecond energy spectrum; detecting the emitted X-rays, at least one measurement signal being generated as a function of each respective energy range and the respective energy spectrum; producing the spectral CT image data set based upon the generated first and second measurement signals with the assistance of a spectral image processing technique; and outputting the spectral CT image data set.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method, a device, a computed tomography system and a computer program for generating a spectral computed tomography X-ray image data set. Background technique [0002] Computed tomography (CT) is an imaging procedure primarily used in medical diagnosis. In CT, a radiation source, for example an x-ray source, and an x-ray detector interacting with it are rotated around an examined object, in particular a patient, in order to record spatial three-dimensional image data. During the rotational movement, measurement data, so-called projection measurement data, are respectively recorded in angular sectors. Projection measurement data is a projection or projections that contain information about the radiation attenuation of the object under examination from different projection angles. From these projection measurement data (also referred to as raw data sets), for example, a two-dimensional cross-sectional image or a three-dimensi...
