Abstract

The invention discloses an experimental device and method for liquid metal two-phase flow parameter measurement. The experimental device comprises a liquid metal storage tank, a gas distributor, a bubbling pool, a conducting probe system, a differential pressure gauge and a plurality of valve pipe fittings. A gas phase provided by a gas source is injected into the liquid metal in the bubbling pool through a gas distributor at the bottom of the bubbling pool to form a two-phase system, and then the average void fraction and the local time-average void fraction of the two-phase system are measured through a differential pressure gauge and a conducting probe respectively, and then the gas phase emitted from the two-phase system is purified by a gas filter and then is exhausted to the atmosphere by an exhaust valve; the device is specifically used for measuring average void fraction, void fraction radial distribution and drift parameters in a liquid metal two-phase flow system under different gas phase apparent velocities. Therefore, support of experimental data is provided for developing and verifying a two-phase flow calculation model suitable for liquid metal; and meanwhile, the device can be used for repeatedly carrying out experiments, so that the reliability of experimental results is enhanced.
