Abstract

The invention relates to a control circuit and a gating control method of an anode grounding photomultiplier, the photomultiplier comprises a photoelectric cathode, a first multiplication stage, a second multiplication stage and a third multiplication stage, and the control circuit further comprises a square wave driving signal input port, an isolation transformer, a rectification circuit and a gating circuit which are connected in sequence; a primary side of the isolation transformer is connected with the driving signal input port, a center tap of a secondary side of the isolation transformer is connected with the photoelectric cathode, and the secondary side of the isolation transformer is connected with the rectifying circuit; the isolation transformer is used for outputting current to supply power to the gating circuit when receiving the square wave driving signal; and when current is input into the gating circuit, the electric connection is switched on, so that the potential difference between the first multiplication stage, the second multiplication stage and the third multiplication stage and the photoelectric cathode is 0 to reduce the PMT gain.
