Methods and formulations for treating animal ectoparasites, effective against parasites such as fleas and ticks are provided. The methods comprise topically co-administering a non-mobile insect growth regulator and a mobile insect growth regulator to the animal. Parasiticidal formulations for treating animal ectoparasites are also provided, which can be safe to use and avoid the many common deleterious side effects of conventional topical formulations. The topical formulations comprise a combination of two insect growth regulators, a non-mobile insect growth regulator and a mobile insect growth regulator. The sniffing medicine for treating tuberculosis disclosed by the invention comprises the following bulk pharmaceutical components in parts by weight: 1-2 parts of lead sulfate, 20-40 parts of calomel, 20-40 parts of vermilion, 40-80 parts of croton seeds and 300-600 parts of red jujubes. The preparation method of the sniffing medicine for treating tuberculosis disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: removing pits of the red jujubes, and then sequentially placing the croton seeds, the lead sulfate, the calomel and vermilion in parts by weight in the red jujubes; then, wrapping the red jujubes three layers by using cabbage leaves, and roasting the obtained product 15-30 minutes by using charcoal fire; and finally, removing the cabbage leaves, and grinding the red jujubes into paste. The effect of the sniffing medicine on treating diseases such as tuberculosis and the like is obvious. The sniffing medicine is taken orally, and does not hurt the stomach, intestines, the liver and the kidney; and the sniffing medicine treats liver complaints, and the sniffing medicine directly reaches the lungs and enters the blood circulation so as to achieve effects of toxic substance counteracting, sterilization and parasite control.
