A non-aqueous electrolyte is provided, comprising: a non-aqueous solvent including acetonitrile and vinylene carbonate; and the following general formula (1): R1-A-R2 (1) {wherein, A represents a divalent group having the structure shown in any of the following formulas (1-2) to (1-5), R1 and R2 are each independently an aryl group, or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms optionally substituted with a halogen atom, or an alkyl group, or a vinylene group optionally substituted with a halogen atom, or an aryl group optionally substituted with a halogen atom, or R1 and R2 are bonded to each other to form a cyclic structure optionally having unsaturated bonds with A.} The total content of the aforementioned vinylene carbonate and the aforementioned compound of general formula (1) is 0.1% by volume or more and less than 10% by volume relative to the total amount of the aforementioned non-aqueous solvent, and the content of the aforementioned vinylene carbonate is less than the content of the aforementioned compound of general formula (1).
