experiment example 1

[0035] Examples of the rubber composition of the present invention will be specifically described below.

[0036] The endothermic curve was measured using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) at a heating rate of 10°C / min, and the melting point was determined from the peak temperature on the curve.

[0037] 0.2 g of components insoluble in boiling n-hexane were dissolved in 100 ml of o-dichlorobenzene, and the reduced viscosity was measured at 135° C. using an Ubbelohde viscometer.

[0038] The microstructure was identified by infrared absorption spectroscopic analysis. The microstructure consists of cis-740cm -1 , trans 967cm -1 With vinyl 910cm -1 The absorption intensity ratio is calculated.

[0039] Molecular weights (Mw, Mn) were measured by the GPC method using HLC-8220 (manufactured by Toso Inc.), and calculated in terms of standard polystyrene.

[0040] Mooney viscosity of raw rubber and mixtures (ML 1+4 , 100°C) measured in accordance with JIS 6300.

Abstract

The invention provides a rubber composition and golf ball using the same as rubber base material. The rubber composition which gives a cured product exhibiting high hardness and high rebound propertyand is excellent in extrusion processability, and thus is suitably used for producing a golf ball. A rubber composition, characterized in that it comprises a rubber component composed of 1 - 70 partsby weight of a polybutadiene rubber (A) consisting of (a) 1 - 9 wt % of a boiling n-hexane insoluble part having a melting point of 180 DEG C or higher and (b) 99 - 91 wt % of a boiling n-hexane soluble part and having a Mooney viscosity (ML) of 35 to 50 and 99 to 30 parts by weight of a diene rubber (B) except (A) and comprises a co-crosslinking agent (C).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a rubber composition used for the following products: golf balls; tire external members such as tread and sidewall and tire internal members such as carcass, belt and rim; such as anti-vibration rubber, tape, hose and shock-absorbing rubber; and footwear such as men's and women's shoes and athletic shoes. More specifically, the present invention relates to rubber compositions for golf balls and golf balls. Background technique [0002] Polybutadiene used as a rubber base material of golf balls is required to have high hardness, high resilience and impact resistance, and excellent processability. Patent Document 1 (JP-A-2004-43714) discloses a technique for improving high hardness, high resilience, and impact resistance. In general, however, increasing the Mooney viscosity improves resilience but leads to deterioration of processability. In contrast, broadening the molecular weight distribution improves processability...
