Embodiment Construction

[0017] As shown in FIG. 1 , taking a group of sensors as an example, a broadband light source 1 (such as an ASE light source) enters a tunable F-P filter 3 through an isolator 2 . After being filtered by the filter, the output light is connected to the input end of the fiber coupler 4 , and the output end of the fiber coupler 4 is connected to the photodetector 6 and the fiber coupler 5 respectively. The output end of the photodetector 6 is connected to the signal acquisition and processing system 9 . The two output ends of the fiber optic coupler 5 are respectively connected to the input ends of the fiber optic couplers 10 and 11 . The other input ends of the fiber couplers 10 and 11 are connected to the signal acquisition and processing system 9 through the photodetectors 7 and 8 . The outputs of the couplers 10, 11 are connected to the sensor group. The sensor group includes two fiber gratings 12 and 14 with close but different center wavelengths, and an intensity modulat...

Abstract

The invention relates to a repeated use method for an adjustable strength optical fiber sensor. A board band light source (1) is changed into wave length scanning light through an adjustable Fabry-Perot filter (3). One branch of the board band light source enters into a sensor array after being divided through a coupler 4, and the reflective light is detected through detectors(7 and 8); while the other branch is detected through a detector 6 as reference light. Each sensor component comprises two optical fiber gratings (12 and 14) with different wave lengths, and an adjustable strength optical fiber sensor (13). The two optical fiber gratings are respectively connected with the two ends of the strength sensor in series. The method comprises the steps as follows: eliminating the influence of uneven light source through a reference channel (6), measuring the change of the light strength of the strength sensor (13), and achieving the repeated use of the strength sensor through the optical fiber gratings with different wave lengths. Besides, the invention can achieve the large-scale repeated use and array of the adjustable strength optical fiber sensor by further increasing the quantity of the coupling.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of optical fiber sensors, and particularly relates to a multiplexing method of an intensity-modulated optical fiber sensor and a technology for realizing the method. Background technique [0002] At present, the multiplexing technology of intensity-modulated optical fiber sensors is mainly based on the optical time-domain distributed detection technology based on the backscattered light or forward-scattered light loss time-domain detection technology of the optical fiber. The typical representatives of time domain distribution are the sensor multiplexing monitoring based on optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) and the multiplexing method based on Brillouin optical time domain reflectometry (BOTDR). Sensors based on optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) always have a blind zone when they are in use, the attenuation values measured from both ends of the fiber are different, and the resolution that can...
