Abstract

The invention discloses a remote pump transmission system which utilizes the Stimulated Raman effect to improve pumping performance, which comprises a transmitting end and a receiving end of an optical transmission system and a remote pump amplifier in a transmission link, wherein the remote pump amplifier comprises a main pumping source, at least an auxiliary pumping source, and a wave combiner. The auxiliary pumping source and the main pumping source are coupled in a bypass optical fiber through the wave combiner, which are used as pumping sources of the remote pump amplifier, in the transmission process of the optical fiber, the energy of the auxiliary pumping source is released to the main pumping source, thereby improving the pumping efficiency of the remote pump amplifier by the energy transition of the pumping light. The wave combiner is arranged on an entrance of a light signal channel where the bypass optical fiber is imported, and the wave combiner is used for combining optical waves which are transferred by the auxiliary pumping source and the main pumping source, and the optical waves are input into the light signal channel by the wave combiner. The invention can effectively improve the efficiency of the pump, thereby reaching the purpose of improving the transmission distance of single-section.
