The invention discloses a restorer for the lose data of laser sonar and a method thereof, wherein a laser data collector collects the change information of water particle vibration speed caused by underwater targets; a data discriminator for discriminating the signals of the change information into a signal batch and a losing signal batch; a phase evaluation module obtains the phase change of the digital signals according to the time-space correlation between the motion speed of the sonar platform and the signal batch data, and utilizes motion synthesis aperture theory to reconstruct the data batch of losing signals; a data collector synthesizes the signal batch and the reconstructed data batch to restore the losing data. The restore can resolve the problem only owned by laser sonar such as batched data losing caused by the fluctuation of waves and the limit of laser receiving aperture, thereby avoiding the decrease of detection performance of sonar. The method is simple and practical, and can be real-timely realized without much additional computing resource.
