The invention relates to a medical environment-friendly sterilization ultrasound coupling agent and a preparation method thereof, wherein the ultrasound coupling agent comprises the components based on the parts by weight: 5-30 parts of corn starch, 2-2.5 parts of 30% of hydrogen peroxide, 0.04-0.08 part of ferrous sulphate, 2-2.5 parts of sodium hydroxide, 1.2-1.5 parts of sodium borate, 0.10-2.00 parts of iodine, 3.00-20.00 parts of fatty alcohol-polyoxyethylene ether, 0-1.00 part of potassium iodide, 0-1.00 part of potassium iodate, 1.00 part of glycerin, 0.20 part of citric acid and 60-78parts of water. When being used for ultrasonic detection, the ultrasound coupling agent ensures the detection image to be clear and the cross infection risk which is possibly caused by the ultrasonicdetection to be little, does not swell and corrode an ultrasonic probe, can be degraded so as to be free from environmental pollution, and has the characteristic of strong environmental conservation property.
