The quantum dots are measured by a fluorescence spectrophotometer. The excitation wavelength is between 300nm and 400nm, the maximum emission wavelength is around 580nm, and the half-maximum width is ≤30nm.

The tracer is a semiconductor quantum dot with fluorescent performance; after the tracer is mixed with a water treatment agent, the mixture is fed into an industrial water system; and the running level of water treatment facilities is improved by continuously monitoring the concentration of the fluorescent tracer in the water system and controlling the feeding amount of the water treatment agent.
