Abstract

The invention discloses a method for simulating a verisimilar target echo, belonging to the field of electronic simulation. A plane wave database concept is derived from a multi-level subalgorithm of electromagnetic calculation, i.e. a scattered field of a target under incident wave excitation in any direction can be described by k plane waves, wherein k is related to the electrical size of the target. The invention expands the plane wave database concept, indicates K*K plane waves of the target under the excitation of an incident field in k directions according to a reciprocity principle and can accurately describe the scattered field generated by the excitation of the target in any incident direction and form a perfect broadband plane wave database N*K*K by N K*K databases under N different frequencies; and the scattered field of the target in any incident direction and frequency can be directly read by the broadband plane wave database or obtained through interpolation. The invention realizes the real-time simulation of the verisimilar target echo and can serve multiple radar application technologies, such as radar imaging, image features, target property, target identification, figuration design, and the like.
