Abstract

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing tera-hertz fiber gratings and the device thereof. As the reliability of the existing spectrum control is poor, the method of the invention first employs suitable micro plastic casings, the one end of the micro plastic casing is terminated, the other end of the micro plastic casing is connected with a vacuum pump and then the micro plastic casingis fixed on a linear displacement platform, a laser focusing system is adjusted and finally a carbon dioxide laser is started up to soften the area where the laser is focused on the micro plastic casing; a through hole arranged on the internal diameter area of the corresponding micro plastic casing is sealed and the tera-hertz fiber grating is obtained by repeating the steps in the next cycle length. Clamping apparatuses are arranged on both sides of the linear displacement platform of the device of the invention and the laser focusing system and carbon dioxide laser are arranged above the medial positions of the two clamping apparatuses; the vacuum pump is connected with the other end of the micro plastic casing in a sealed manner.
