Abstract

The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing phenol and formaldehyde solution evenly, then adding acid to obtain a mixture, heating the mixture to a gentle boiling state to maintain for 1-3h; and reducing the temperature to 70-90 DEG C, adding strong alkaline solution to neutralize, and then reducing the temperature to the room temperature to obtain water-dispersed phenolic resin. The phenolic resin prepared by the synthesis method of the invention has a certain solubility; when acid, in especially strong acid is used as catalyst, polycondensation reaction can be performed at a higher temperature under the condition that the ratio of formaldehyde to phenol is higher and thermoplastic phenolic resin can be obtained; and then strong alkali is added to continuously react at a higher temperature and form phenolic resin which has a certain solubility in water.
