Problems solved by technology

However, since the arable layer has not yet thawed when the spring warms up, the water cannot seep down after the surface snow melts, and most of the snowmelt water is lost through evaporation, surface runoff, etc., and cannot make a substantial contribution to crop growth.

Embodiment 1

[0030] Example 1. Precocious potato planting experiment with winter snow water conservation and planting in Keshan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province

[0031] In arid and semi-arid areas, the lack of soil water in spring often prevents crops from sowing and emerging normally, affecting yields. However, the annual snowfall in winter is not effectively utilized, resulting in the loss of ice and snow melt water before planting. In order to make use of winter snow, alleviate spring drought, and make technical reserves for high yield and income increase, this experiment is specially designed.

[0032] 1. Methods of using snowfall to increase crop yield

[0033] The test was carried out on February 28, 2011 in Keshan Branch of Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Keshan County, Qiqihar City). Ammonium: urea is 15:4. The crop seed sown is Kexin No. 21 (the seeds were purchased from Dalong Seed Company in Keshan County), which is an early-maturing potato variety i...

[0116] Example 2, Precocious Potato Planting Experiment in Winter Snow Water Conservation in Aihui District, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province

[0117] 1. Methods of using snowfall to increase crop yield

[0118] This experiment was carried out in Aihui District, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province. Before the snowmelt, the surface is covered with different colored covering materials, the purpose is to screen the best covering materials for retaining snow moisture, and to understand the impact of water retention measures on crop growth and yield during the water retention process. The crop seeds sown are Kexin No. 21 (sold by Dalong Seed Company in Keshan County), which is an early-maturing potato variety in the northeastern part of the country, as follows:

[0119] On March 9, 2011, black and white plastic agricultural films with a thickness of 0.1mm, a width of 4m, and a length of 6m were used to cover the fields with snow (the average snow thickness was 40cm), and the surrou...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for improving the crop yield by using the winter snowfall. The method provided by the invention comprises the follow steps that: before seeding, a covering object for preventing the moisture from evaporating is covered on the snowy soil surface; during seeding, crop seeds are seeded into the soil under the covering objects; and then, the covering objects are treated in a mode according to the mode 1) or the mode 2) as follows for improving the crop yield: 1) the covering objects are continuously covered until the crop harvesting; and 2) the covering objects are continuously covered, and the covering objects are peeled until the crop seedling emerging. Experiments prove that the method for improving the crop yield by using the winter snowfall provided by the invention has the advantages that the soil moisture can be maintained and reserved, the soil and land surface temperature can be improved, the growth and the development of crops are promoted, and further, the yield is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular to a method for improving crop yield by utilizing winter snowfall. Background technique [0002] In the arid and semi-arid areas of northern my country, the rainfall is relatively low, especially in the spring when droughts are frequent, and crops are often greatly reduced or even completely lost due to delayed sowing dates or "neck-necking droughts". However, these areas are cold in winter, and the snow does not melt throughout the winter, and a 15-30cm snow layer can be formed on the surface. After the snow melts, it is equivalent to the precipitation of several rains. If it can be effectively used, it will meet the needs of spring crop planting and The needs of seedling growth are very valuable for improving soil moisture. However, since the cultivated layer has not yet thawed when the spring warms up, water cannot infiltrate after the surface snow melts, and most of the snowmelt wa...
