Abstract

The invention discloses an edge detection sensor for windshield glass, which comprises a travelling detection part, an edge detection part and a signal processing part, wherein the travelling detection part is used for detecting whether the sensor moves to the surface of the windshield glass or not through a point gauge, and then judges the moving direction of the sensor on the surface of the windshield glass through the edge detection part with four induction gauging heads; and the signal processing part is used for conducting magnification and level switch on signals of the travelling detection part and the edge detection part, and then transmitting the signals to a singlechip for processing, and is connected with an external control system through an output port. The edge detection sensor has the advantage that the working mode is simple, that is, before work, the demarcation of an external initial position or key position is eliminated, and complex software processing is not required. Therefore, compared with the conventional outline detection adopting a universal optical principle or a coordinate measuring principle, the edge detection sensor further has the advantage that obtained data can serve as trace data for cutting the windshield glass after being processed simply.
