Embodiment Construction

[0016] The present invention utilizes the branch of twig bean vine to breed the nymph. The branches with the leaves of the vine can be collected in the wild, brought back to the room and placed in a container, and the larvae of the nymph are placed on the leaves for rearing. It is also possible to bag the larvae of the nymph in the field.

[0017] The specific operation is as follows:

[0018] (1) Use twigs to lure adult nymphs to lay eggs, cut the base of the branches with leaves of twigs in the wild into the water in the bottle, keep the branches green for a long time, and put them into the adults to lay eggs shed; or

[0019] (2) Feed the larvae with the branches of the wild vine leaves, and wrap the base of the vine branches with a wet paper towel to keep the branches fresh for a long time, and put them in a container for the larvae to feed on. The container is sterile and ventilated; or

[0020] (3) Use 100-mesh gauze to make bags of different sizes. 100-mesh gauze ca...

Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of insect breeding, and relates to a method for raising Polyura nepenthes, in particular to a method for using Millettia reticulata to breed Polyura nepenthes, which initially uses Millettia reticulata to breed Millettia reticulata and makes artificial mass raising of Millettia reticulata possible. The method includes: cutting branches in a field, and bringing back to breed insects indoors; and maintaining leaves green for 2-3 days and nutrients of the leaves highly complete, so that healthy growth of larvae is benefited. Millettia reticulata is photophilic, has an inclination to warm and humid climate, is intolerant to cold, is tolerant to drought and barrenness, and is highly adaptive, fast in growth and development and easy in planting. By the method, insects of Polyura nepenthes in any state are highly vital as the leaves are fresh and have well maintained nutrients, eggs, the larvae, pupas and imagoes all have a survival rate more than 95%, and a great deal of imagoes of Polyura nepenthes can be obtained. Egg laying amount of the imagoes is high.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of insect breeding, and more specifically relates to a method for raising the nymph. Background technique [0002] Butterfly is very beautiful, people love it, use it, artificial mass breeding, for tourism, pet viewing, popular science education, making handicrafts and so on. It is also a key measure to protect wild species and save endangered species. Forgetful tail butterfly Polyura nepenthes (Grose-Smith, 1883), the outer edge of the front of the two wings is black and broad, the base of the wing is light yellow-green, the back of the two wings is light yellow-green, there is a horizontal stripe in the middle region with black in the front half and brown in the back half, and a row of sub-outer edges Crescent-shaped spot, the outer edge is yellow edging, and each hind wing has two caudal processes. It is a beautiful butterfly with strange morphological characteristics and has high ornamental value. It has been ...
