The invention provides a WIFI (wireless fidelity) technology based underground intelligent mobile terminal system which comprises an aboveground application server, an aboveground database server, a PC (personal computer) control end, a switchboard, a router, underground wireless APs (access points), and a mobile terminal with a WIFI function, wherein the aboveground application server is used for implementing the connection and data transmission with the mobile terminal, and implementing the positioning services of the underground personnel and a production and safety information search service function; and the mobile terminal can establish a connection with the aboveground application server through the WIFI module so as to inquire underground production and safety information through accessing the application server, can regularly scan and send signal strengths of surrounding underground wireless APs to the aboveground application server, and can inquire the current position and call a roadway map so as to achieve an escape navigation function.
