The preparation method comprises the steps of mixing astragalus, polygonatum, polygonatum odoratum, cortex lycii radicis, rhizoma dioscoreae and rhizoma alismatis, adding water into the mixture and decocting, concentrating a drug solution to obtain an extract, or extracting by alcohol reflux, concentrating a drug solution to obtain an extract; and mixing the extract obtained from one of the above method and buck wheat flour to obtain the traditional Chinese medicine for decreasing the blood sugar.
