Abstract

The invention discloses a redundant controller of Profibus-decentralized periphery (DP). The redundant controller consists of two identical controllers. Each controller is as the redundancy of the other and the two controllers are connected together through a back plate slot. One of the controllers is a work controller, and the other is a spare controller in hot standby state. By means of judgment of a main role and a spare role, real time data backup and exchange of master control, non disturbance data shift of the work controller and the spare controller is achieved, and stable operation of the whole controlling system is ensured. The shift time of the work controller and the spare controller can be as short as 132us, and thus the advancement of the redundant design of the Profibus-DP controller is embodied.
