Abstract

Provided is a method for drying a wet filter cake containing a solvent in a drying device. Dry gas is utilized to be in contact with the wet filter cake, and the gas containing the solvent is formed. The gas containing the solvent is sent to a low temperature condensing system, and the solvent is condensed from the gas containing the solvent. The recovered solvent is stored for other possible uses, gas without the solvent is returned to the drying device to assist the drying process. Thus no solvent is discharged into the atmosphere.
