The invention discloses a method for producing 2,7-sodium naphthalene disulfonate by using reaction mother liquor of 2-naphthalene sulfonic acid. The method comprises the following steps: pumping 1,960-2,200Kg of 2-naphthalene sulfonic acid mother liquor into a distillation still, heating the mother liquor, and evaporating at normal pressure; when the temperature rises to 100-110 DEG C, connecting with a vacuum device, and evaporating at reduced pressure; when the temperature rises to 135-145 DEG C, removing the vacuum device, and cooling; when the material is cooled to 80-85 DEG C, adding 900-920Kg of 115% fuming sulfuric acid while controlling the temperature at 90-100 DEG C, and carrying out heat preservation for 4 hours after the adding is completed; adding 520-600Kg of water, stirring for 10-20 minutes, then, cooling to the temperature of 20-23 DEG C, and then, carrying out centrifugation, thereby obtaining 710-720Kg of 2,7-naphthalene disulfonic acid with the purity of 92%.
