Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for rapid charging of a lithium ion battery. The device for rapid charging of the lithium ion battery comprises a DC constant current power supply which is connected to the lithium ion battery to be charged, and a controllable switch which is connected to the lithium ion battery and the DC constant current power supply in series so that a series circuit is formed and is used for connecting to or cutting off the series circuit. The device is characterized in that the device comprises a control module which is connected to the lithium ion battery and the controllable switch and is used for detecting terminal voltage and a terminal voltage change rate of the lithium ion battery, when the detected terminal voltage is lower than a charging threshold, the control module controls the controllable switch to connect the series circuit so that the lithium ion battery is charged, and when the detected terminal voltage is higher than the charging threshold and a detected terminal voltage change rate curve is obviously declined, the control module controls the controllable switch to cut off the series circuit so that lithium ion battery charging is stopped.
