Abstract

The invention relates to an iron acetate crosslinking montmorillonite filter tip additive and an application thereof. Ferric trichloride is used for conducting intercalation on montmorillonite, then a fumigation reaction is carried out on the montmorillonite which is subjected to intercalation through the ferric trichloride and glacial acetic acid, and chloride ions are exchanged to be acetate ions in an ion exchange mode. By means of a scanning electron microscope and an N2 physical absorption and cigarette addition experimental test, results show that the specific surface area of the crosslinked montmorillonite is decreased, and the absorption capacity of the montmorillonite to particulate matter, benzo (a) pyrene, tar and the like in smoke is enhanced. The filter tip additive has the advantages of being high in plasticity, good in absorbing effect, safe and nontoxic, low in cost, applicable and efficient.
